The staff at NLSOM represent a wide cross-section of the Body of Christ drawn from different nations world-wide. NLSOM believes that this new approach to equipping men and women for ministry and world missions will keep NLSOM on the cutting edge, and is very relevant in the postmodern world in which we live. The dedicated staff team at NLSOM is fully committed to serve you and our mentorship program will provide you with support, encouragement and guidance during the formative years of your ministry and mission’s preparation.

NLSOM is affiliated through our regional network of churches and ministries in Central Indiana-USA called ReNET. We use the facilities of New Life Christian Church in Anderson, Indiana.

Pastor Johnny Cawthon is the president of NLSOM. He is also the Senior Pastor of New Life Christian Church in Anderson, Indiana. He is a member of the CURE leadership team (Clergy United for Renewal, Reconciliation and Evangelism) giving leadership to the City-Wide Pastor’s Prayer Meetings, and also a Teacher and Director of ReNET (an apostolic regional network of churches). He oversees mission outreaches in the Samara, Russia region and has made numerous mission trips to Russia. He has also served on the Board of Crossministries International for 6 years, an organization which focuses on establishing Bible and Mission Training Centers across the globe. Johnny is from Louisiana where he received a BA in education from The University of Louisiana at Monroe. He also has Master’s degrees in both Ministry and Divinity from Anderson University’s School of Theology. Prior to New Life beginning in 1977, he served 8 years with Youth For Christ founding the YFC Ministry based here in Anderson.

Erika Pretorius and Marinda Coetzee, both Missionaries from South Africa, are the Training Directors at New Life School of Ministry. They are also the Executive Directors of Crossministries International for the past 10 years, an organisation focussed on the establishing of Bible and Mission Training Centres in the nations. They have both served for many years as missionaries in Russia where they established the Revival Bible Centre that has, over a 6 year period, equipped more than 100 students. They have also served in South Africa, giving leadership to Africa School of Missions where they have been involved the past two years in establishing a Missions and Ministry Development Programme. Africa School of Missions have trained hundreds of men and women for ministry over the past 24 years and graduate students from ASM are serving in 56 countries worldwide. Marinda has complted her doctoral studies recently in New Testament Literature and Philosophy (D Litt et Phil) through the University of JOhannesburg, South Africa. Erika has completed her MTh through Mattersey Hall College in the UK and is currently doing her Doctorate in Theology through the Christian Leadership University, USA.

At NLSOM we also have many guest teachers coming from local and international ministries worldwide to serve our students here in Anderson. It brings a wonderful cross-cultural flavor to our school and inspire our students to have a heart for the nations!
